Standard Procedure1. Mutual Respect & Recognition of Authority
Welcome. This digital protocol is established by the Rosarito South community to promote mutual respect, transparency, and legal certainty between our esteemed local authorities and U.S. visitors or residents. We express our sincere appreciation and respect to the police officers and municipal authorities of Playas de Rosarito for their ongoing service, dedication, and vital mission in safeguarding our community.
2. Official Written Citations & Formal Compliance
If an infraction has occurred, the driver respectfully acknowledges the officer's authority and requests the formal written citation (Boleta de Infracción) to be issued. This ensures the fine can be paid promptly and legitimately at the municipal station (Juzgado Cívico) or municipal treasury window. We uphold Mexican law and support official institutional compliance without informal arrangements.
3. Legal Recognition of Foreign Documentation & Citizen Logging
Under current Mexican border zone regulations, driving with a valid U.S. driver's license and valid foreign vehicle registration is fully lawful. Drivers are not required to surrender driver's licenses or car keys without serious cause under municipal transit regulations. For any traffic stop or municipal agency procedure, this session is logged with satellite coordinates for community records and driver assistance.
